Undoubtedly, smartwatch is the technology trend<\/a> of the year 2013. After Apple and Samsung announced their smartwatch developments, now it is the turn of LG and the giant Google on the market.<\/p>\n

Google<\/h2>\n

The Google Smartwatch is developed by the Android development team, so this gadget is considered highly practical and will be one of the most important devices released by Google this year. In 2012, Google has been granted a patent relating to computer equipment can be worn up. The Google Smartwatch\u00a0is described as a device with a flip-up display that can be worn on the wrist.<\/p>\n

The patent also provides touch-screen experience and so it will have an intuitive user interface and can connect to wireless network. It is said to be an extension to Android smartphones, that means we could pair with our phone to see notifications, incoming calls or view messages right on the watch’s screen.<\/p>\n

Market analysts said that the final product could be slightly different from the features described in this patent. At the moment, Google hasn’t disclosed any information regarding their plan on the Smartwatch and they also won’t comment on rumors and speculations.<\/p>\n

LG Smart Watch<\/h2>\n

Most recently, LG is also rumored to be developing a smart watch. This is considered an essential move for the company after they failed to catch Apple and Samsung on the market of other smart products. Actually LG released a smart watch a few years back and they called it the LG GD910 watch phone. That was a pretty good product in 2009 but it is 2013 now and consumers need a more complete product.<\/p>\n

Samsung, the leader in Smartwatch?<\/h2>\n

Earlier this week, Samsung also confirmed that they are working on a smartwatch as they planned to develop the smart wristwatch for a very long time. Like LG, Samsung also released some smart watches a few years back but they failed to impress consumers and could’t become the pioneer in the market. The 2 products they launched in the past are\u00a0Samsung SPH-WP10 in 1999 and\u00a0Samsung S9110 Watch Phone in 2009.<\/p>\n

Apple iWatch<\/h2>\n

Apple was also reported that the team of 100 engineers is developing the iWatch. The list of iWatch’s development team includes some key members such as James Foster, the senior director of engineering, and Achim Pantfoerder, a program manager of Apple.<\/p>\n

With the participation of many technology giants, the smartwatch battle promises to be very competitive and enjoyable. Besides, we also can’t ignore smaller companies like\u00a0Pebble and Martian Watch.
