Game developers have come under the radar for allegedly \u2018pressurizing\u2019 game player to buy in-game objects.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Many free to play games offer gems \/ jewels for a price to gamers using which they can advance to the next levels with ease. Such and many other objects are purchase by kids, in many cases unknowingly, across the world that cost parents quite a few bucks now and then. Instances of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/2013-02-28-parents-refused-refund-by-apple-after-son-spends-1700-on-free-ipad-game\" target=\"_blank\">Danny Kitchen<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2298771\/Policeman-Doug-Crossan-reports-13-year-old-son-Cameron-FRAUD-running-3-700-iPad.html\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Crossan<\/a> in UK are well known as they have triggered the UK Government to investigate \u2018commercially aggressive\u2019 in-app purchases.<\/p>\n<h2>Disable In-App Purchases<\/h2>\n<p>If you believe your kids may be buying in-game objects in free to play iOS games, here are the steps that would allow you to disable those in-app purchases on iOS devices like iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the home screen tap on Settings;<\/li>\n<li>Tap on General;<\/li>\n<li>Scroll halfway down the page till you locate Restrictions;<\/li>\n<li>Tap on Restriction, which will enable the option;<\/li>\n<li>Enter a Passcode that you can easily remember but, ensure that it is not something that your kids might know; [Note: When you tap on Restrictions, you will be prompted to set a Passcode.
