In this series there are two phones right now smallest one measures 5.8 inches in screen size while the bigger sibling goes over to 6.3 inches.

These devices are almost the size of tablets offered in the market. Though their hardware isn’t amazing for in regard to devices we see this year but huge screen size is still a choice of many.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 runs on Dual Core Processor while the screen has 720P resolution for better viewing. Phone has 1.5 GB of RAM to perform multi-tasking. Samsung has provided with 8 GB of internal storage plus an option to expand it via Micro SD card up to 64GB. But if you have latest version of Kies installed in your system then need not to perform this step.

Stock kernel for your phone which has been already rooted. You can download the same from here.

Before we root

Make sure that your device has enough juice in battery that it can survive the whole process. To be on safe side have at least 40 per cent battery. Backup your data before we begin the rooting process. Make sure that Kies is not running in back ground as it will interrupt in the rooting process.

Note: All the above processes can permanently brick your device so be aware of that.

Instructions

Now following each step with extreme care failing to do so might damage your device.

STEP #1

As we have downloaded all the stuff already. Start Odin by choosing “Run as Administrator”.

STEP #2

Now don’t click on anything except PDA. So select PDA option and the Stock kernel which has been already rooted.

STEP #3

Now you need to take your device in to download mode for that you need to use button combination. Switch off your Mega 6.3 and press Volume Down, Home button and Power button simultaneously. A Window will show up, then power volume up button if you want to resume rooting otherwise click on down volume key it will abort the process.

STEP #4

Connect your Mega 6.3 with PC via micro USB cable. As when Odin detects your phone click on start and wait for the process to complete.

After finishing the process phone will automatically reboot and your Mega 6.3 is rooted. You can install SuperSU to see whether you have successfully rooted your device or not.

So this was the easy and simple guide to root your Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.
