The Bose speakers are awesome but they are quite bulky and heavy while the Z600&#8217;s performance is underwhelming.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Creative introduced some of its new computer speaker systems in late 2014 and I&#8217;m quite interested in the T4 and T30. I hope I could review the T4 soon, today we will take a look at the <strong>T30 Wireless<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Unboxing<\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6dg_bqfMImk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Design &amp; Features<\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;m not really impressed with the design of the Creative T30. It somewhat looks like the\u00a0computer speakers I used 10 years ago. The 2 drivers, bass, treble and volume control knobs, power button, Bluetooth button and headphone jack are placed on the front. Surprisingly there is no kind of grille to protect the drivers, so you will need to be extremely careful when handling or cleaning the speakers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8186\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-2.jpg\" alt=\"creative-t30-2\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While Creative called the T30 wireless speakers, they are not really because you will have to plug to the power outlet all the time. Besides, the right speaker acts as a master speaker, therefore, the left speaker will need to be connected to the right speaker as well. So, there have been already 2 mandatory wired connections. The only wireless connection is the one to your audio sources like computer or smartphone.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8185\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-3.jpg\" alt=\"creative-t30-3\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-3.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/creative-t30-3-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Notably, there are bass tubes on top of the speakers which are supposed to\u00a0improve bass responses, we will talk\u00a0about it later in the audio quality section. On the back of the right master speaker, we can see the audio input, left speaker jack and power jack. I have a serious issue with the power jack as it causes an electric spark every time I plug the charger. I&#8217;m not sure if it is due to quality of the charger or my power outlet, but this is not safe at all and I don&#8217;t have the problem with my other products.<\/p>\n<p>The T30 is also equipped with some interesting technologies like NFC, Bluetooth 3.0 and\u00a0aptX audio codec support to deliver\u00a0CD quality wirelessly over Bluetooth.<\/p>\n<h2>Audio Quality<\/h2>\n<p>I never thought a small speaker system at this price range could sound that good. Of course, it can&#8217;t be\u00a0as powerful as my current <strong><a title=\"Bose Companion 5 Review \u2013 The Best Speaker System for Desktop Computers?\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techwalls.com\/bose-companion-5-review-best-speaker-system-desktops\/\">Bose Companion 5<\/a><\/strong> but it has its own advantages. You can check out the sound testing video below, you might get an\u00a0idea of its sound signature.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sfr_dudq80Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I know it is not a good comparison but I have to say the T30 sounds better than most portable wireless speakers I&#8217;ve used. As many people are paying extra money for those portable speakers and use them as computer speakers, you shouldn&#8217;t as the T30 is much more affordable. I actually prefer the T30 because it delivers a very bright sound and I&#8217;m quite surprised with its clarity in mids and highs. In terms of bass responses, it is just enough for you to feel the bass. This might not be\u00a0a good choice for bass heads but I find it quite comfortable for listening in a long time.
