The holidays<\/a> can be one of the roughest times for bloggers. On one hand, individuals look forward to the tips for blogging as a way of getting through the holidays. On the other hand, we benefit from the tips ourselves when we celebrate with our family and friends. Today, we will talk about how to enjoy the holiday season, get through idea stumps, and how to balance family time and work during the winter holidays.<\/p>\n

Prepare in Advance<\/h2>\n

If you use Word Press, like a majority of bloggers, then you can take advantage of the Timestamp feature in scheduling your posts. Most well-known blogging clients also have this feature. If you spend maybe a little extra time than normal, a couple of weeks before the holidays, creating relevant posts, you can give yourself enough of a break during the actual holiday that you can have some relaxation.<\/p>\n

Work Smarter; Not Harder<\/h2>\n

If you find yourself still needing a break during the holidays without having time to create posts in advance, try to reduce the number of posts you create leading up to the holidays. This will allow you to focus more on holiday preparation and enjoyment. To compensate, make the less posts you create more SEO rich and useful for your readers. You can also use this time to look back during the past few months and offer helpful lists and how-tos. Even seek sponsors, or sponsor your own, giveaway for your blog. This will give you at least a week or two of a break from a ton of posts because you can refer back to the giveaway as your main focus. This will bring in nearly double your average audience and in addition, you\u2019re showing your appreciation to your readers.<\/p>\n

Looking Forward<\/h2>\n

Blogging is an act where we have to look at the past, present, and future all at the same time. We look at the past to see how older posts are acting; this can influence the creation of your current posts. In addition, we look to the future because we must allow posts to sit for a specific amount of time to allow them to reach their maximum potential. This is the reason bloggers write more leading up to the day, instead of the day or week of. For this reason, use the week of the holidays to look forward to the new years.
